Firestarters Ministries for
January 2010
What a beginning for a new year! Thank you Lord. Three new ministries have been birthed and launched from Firestarters Ministries this month. They are Fire Talkers, Fire Walkers, and Wapato Firestarters. The area they cover are Tacoma, Tulalip Reservation and surrounding areas and the Yakama Reservation. The three ministries are already bearing fruit. The Lord says more fruit and ministries are coming and we believe it.
We continue to host our weekly Firestarters Prayer Gathering praying for the nations, revival, and in particular for over 60 ministries of which many are producing fruit! God answers prayers! Two people accepted Christ at our Monday night gathering and one person was even baptized.
We are in a new season and many new doors have opened for Firestarters. We spoke and Pat danced at the Wisdom Circle, an outreach for the unsaved and newly saved. We participated in a Christian Naming Ceremony…awesome! Gary & Pat along with two other couples are facilitating a monthly Marriage Circle which has been very well received. Pat has joined a flute circle…learning to play the Indian flute. Keep her in prayer…she dances and loves worship but has never played an instrument.
We continue to support in prayer the Pentecostal Church, Portland Avenue Church, Church of Indian Fellowship, Hoh River Church, The Crossings and all the other 60+ ministries we have relationship with. God is on the move and there is so much happening. Conferences are being planned, new ministries birthed and many, many invitations coming forth for Firestarters. Thank you Lord!
On a personal note, we continue to oversee the care of our mothers…both are in care facilities now. We love to see our children and grandchildren and are so thankful they don’t live too far away!
